Job Summary:
The Staff RN in Medical Surgical specializes in providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions. The role involves assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and evaluate individual patient care based on clinical needs and established protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognizing changes and notifying physicians as required.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses thoroughly and legibly.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio RN license with graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Possess current CPR certification.
• Have previous experience in Medical Surgical nursing preferred.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and make independent decisions.
