Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT/Clinical Lab Scientist) to independently perform laboratory testing across multiple disciplines in a community hospital setting. The candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate results while working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, and microbiology.
• Obtain blood specimens through phlebotomy, adhering to proper techniques and specimen handling protocols.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of specimen requirements and follow the correct order of draw and special handling procedures.
• Accurately collect, process, and document off-site and in-lab testing, ensuring timely and precise results.
• Prepare specimens for shipment or in-lab analysis, completing all necessary paperwork and pre-authorization steps.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, fully stocked blood-drawing station, following safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Current Medical Technologist/MLS/MT certification (NCCT not accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant laboratory experience in a generalist role.
• High proficiency in testing across all laboratory areas, including blood bank and microbiology.
• Proven phlebotomy and venipuncture skills with documented experience.
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle, as position is within a small community without public transportation.
