Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to adult patients in a 24-bed Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) unit, ensuring safe and effective patient management across neuro, cardiac, and general medical conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, including IV therapy, blood products, and vasoactive drips, following protocols.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, ABGs, and other vital signs to assess patient status.
• Perform respiratory care procedures such as trach management and oxygen delivery support.
• Conduct wound care, assist with feeding tube management, and manage isolation precautions.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR and adhere to charting standards.
• Float to other units as required, demonstrating competency and adaptability.

Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina or multistate nursing license required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in neuro stepdown and cardiac telemetry nursing.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Proven skills in IV starts, port access, PICC line care, and blood product administration.
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and ABG values with competence in telemetry monitoring.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system documentation.
