Job Description
Job Summary:
Assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures by monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, and preparing the procedure room. Ensure all instruments and supplies are adequately stocked, and participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives. Support both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures to ensure patient safety and procedural success.
Responsibilities:
- Scrub and assist in cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic parameters in real-time.
- Prepare and set up the procedure room with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and performance improvement activities.
- Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid ARRT-R license and be licensed as required by state or certified as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Obtain and maintain ARRT-CI or VI certification or RCI credential.
- Have previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Interventional Radiology department.
- Complete a cardiovascular technologist training program focused on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Maintain current BCLS (AHA) certification and acquire ACLS within 30 days of hire.
- Demonstrate proficient computer skills.
