Job Summary:
The Surgical Technologist role involves assisting in various operative procedures within the surgical department. The position requires robotic surgery experience and the ability to perform diverse surgical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and supplies prior to procedures.
• Assist surgeons during robotic and traditional surgeries by maintaining a sterile field.
• Handle instrumentation and equipment, including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and TORS.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and support patient needs throughout procedures.
• Follow strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols in all surgical activities.
• Document procedures and assist with post-operative preparation and clean-up.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NY state license and NBSTSA certification.
• Possess at least 1 year of surgical technologist experience, including robotic surgery.
• Demonstrate proficiency in general OR skills, endoscopic sinus procedures, laparoscopic cases, and specific surgeries listed.
• Be familiar with EPIC charting system and surgical modules.
• Have BLS certification and background experience at community hospitals.
• Be able to work day shifts (4x10 hours) and float as needed, with availability for on-call duties and call back requirements.
