Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. Ensure patient safety, support surgical teams, and adhere to clinical protocols throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Sanitize and prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Assist surgical teams with patient positioning and sterile technique during procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
• Document all clinical interventions, observations, and procedural details accurately.
• Adhere to infection control practices and safety standards throughout surgical processes.
• Educate patients and families about the perioperative experience and post-operative care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least 2 years of OR nursing experience, including circulating roles.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic health record system within the past 12 months.
• Have current BLS and NIH certifications.
• Be experienced in neuro, endovascular, and robotic surgical environments.
• Maintain current licensure and certification documentation ready for review.
