Job Description

Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. They operate specialized equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed to provide accurate imaging results.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures by explaining the process and positioning them appropriately.
  • Operate and calibrate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administer radioactive tracers safely according to established protocols.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and equipment logs.
  • Adhere to safety and regulatory standards related to radiation and patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license or certification.
  • Possess BLS and CNMT certifications.
  • Demonstrate experience with nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Have excellent communication skills for patient interactions.
  • Be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
