Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide occupational therapy services to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on orthopedic and neurological conditions. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patient function and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients’ physical and cognitive abilities to determine appropriate treatment interventions.
• Develop and implement customized therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Administer therapeutic activities, including splint making and other modalities, to promote recovery.
• Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate outcomes to healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with all certification requirements, including BLS and state licensing regulations.
• Participate in department orientation and adhere to facility dressing codes and policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Wisconsin Occupational Therapist license or be in the application process.
• Demonstrate at least one year of relevant clinical experience, with outpatient experience preferred.
• Possess BLS certification and complete in-house orthopedic education prior to patient treatments.
• Have proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and prior travel therapy experience a plus.
• Be able to cover acute inpatient and surgical orthopedic patients, with flexibility for outpatient duties based on experience.
