Job Summary:
Seeking a experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN to float across various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, peds medsurg, peds PACU, peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby. The position requires versatility, strong pediatric clinical skills, and the ability to adapt to different units within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional patient care across multiple pediatric units as required by the float assignment.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to pediatric patients.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, including pediatric-specific guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism while floating to various units and handling diverse cases.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in Virginia or pending licensure as acceptable; license must be active by the start date.
• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrate prior NICU and PICU float pool experience, with comfort working in multiple pediatric areas.
• Certified in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS.
• Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification or pending with submission.
• Epic electronic health record experience.
