Job Summary:

Performs essential Human Resources functions to support staff recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing processes within a healthcare environment. Ensures compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements to maintain a high standard of staff quality and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the credentialing, appointment, and reappointment processes for medical and allied health staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
• Verify provider credentials through primary sources and maintain error-free, complete credential files.
• Assist providers during onboarding by managing computer access, training, orientation, and badge issuance.
• Keep current with hospital policies, medical staff bylaws, and regulatory requirements affecting credentialing and staff management.
• Maintain and update the medical staff database, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support other HR-related duties as assigned to promote smooth operational workflows.

Qualifications:

• Possess a high school diploma or GED; an associate’s or technical degree is preferred.
• Have a minimum of two years’ experience in a medical staff services or related healthcare setting.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing credentialing processes.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills to support provider onboarding and compliance activities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality concerning all medical staff and employee information.
• Be knowledgeable about healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and medical staff bylaws.
