Job Summary:

The CVOR technician is responsible for assisting with cardiovascular operating room procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and maintaining sterile environments. They support surgical teams by preparing instruments and equipment, and monitoring patient status during procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment specific to cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist surgeons and medical staff during CVOR surgeries by passing instruments and managing supplies.
• Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition during procedures to ensure safety.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout operations.
• Ensure proper documentation of procedures, supplies used, and patient information.
• Support post-operative cleanup and sterilization processes to prepare for subsequent surgeries.

Qualifications:

• Hold a certification as a CVOR technician or related cardiovascular surgical specialty.
• Possess at least 2 years of clinical experience in CVOR or surgical settings.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instruments and procedures.
• Be skilled in maintaining sterile environments and infection control standards.
• Hold current CPR and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications.
• Be eligible for licensure or registration as required by state regulations.
