Job Summary:
Providing specialized interventional radiology and procedures support, the IR/Special Procedures Tech assists with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate advanced imaging equipment for IR and special procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, maintaining sterile fields.
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels throughout procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation of procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of imaging contrast and radiation safety.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterile technique standards.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid state radiologic technologist license or relevant certification.
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in IR or special procedures.
• Hold an active Ohio license or compact license (for starts after 01/01/23).
• Strong knowledge of imaging modalities, including fluoroscopy and ultrasound.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Successful completion of required assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests.
