Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides specialized speech, language, and dysphagia therapy services to adult and pediatric patients. Responsible for conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Design, implement, and revise individualized care plans and therapy goals.
- Administer treatments for speech, language, and dysphagia, including bedside swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluations.
- Document clinical findings and progress reports accurately as per regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in staff meetings, education programs, and community outreach activities.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Possess a valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Have at least 2 years of pediatric speech-language pathology experience.
- Be certified with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Demonstrate experience with VFSS procedures and inpatient/outpatient settings.
- Maintain active American Heart Association BLS certification.
