Job Summary:
This Registered Nurse (RN) position in an outpatient oncology clinic focuses on providing specialized, patient-centered care to cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy. The RN collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate treatment throughout the patient’s care continuum.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and educational needs related to cancer treatment.
• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Administer treatments, medications, and manage side effects associated with radiation therapy.
• Monitor patient progress, responses to therapy, and address any treatment-related complications.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, and post-care instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and comply with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN license with active credentials.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience in oncology nursing, radiation therapy, or ambulatory care highly desirable.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, including certification in oncology nursing preferred.
