Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide specialized speech and language therapy services to patients across diverse age groups, from newborns to geriatrics. Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans to address communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders in outpatient and acute care settings.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions through comprehensive assessments.
- Develop individualized therapy plans to improve communication, feeding, and swallowing abilities.
- Implement therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques and augmentative communication devices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and cross-train for hospital-based acute care services.
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records such as Meditech.
- Stay current with clinical best practices and ASHA guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Hold at least 2 years of experience in speech-language pathology.
- Possess a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Maintain American Speech-Hearing-Language Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Licensed and in good standing with the State of Oklahoma or hold a valid compact license.
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required.
- Experience with Meditech charting preferred.
