Job Summary:
Provides clinical physics services to radiation oncology patients, ensuring safe and effective treatment planning and delivery. Acts as a key member of the radiation therapy team, offering technical expertise and consultation on complex cases.

Responsibilities:

• Determine physical parameters involved in radiation treatment using electron, photon, and HDR therapy units.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and departmental quality standards.
• Serve as a clinical consultant to radiation oncologists, providing guidance on high-risk and challenging cases.
• Train staff on new equipment, treatment modalities, and safety protocols.
• Support quality assurance initiatives within the department.
• Collaborate with the radiation therapy team to integrate physicist and dosimetrist workflows.

Qualifications:

• Certified ABMP (American Board Medical Physicist) or Certified ABR (American Board Radiology) required.
• Hold a valid California calibration letter.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in radiation physics.
• Possess a valid California medical physics license or eligible for licensure.
• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy procedures, physics, and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
