Job Description
Job Summary:
The Pediatric Echo Sonographer is responsible for performing pediatric echocardiograms and ultrasound studies to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. This role requires collaboration with medical staff and adherence to department protocols to ensure high-quality imaging services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pediatric echocardiograms and ultrasound scans following hospital protocols and patient safety guidelines.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as Philips EPIQ7, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Document and communicate findings accurately using electronic medical records systems like EPIC and ISCV.
- Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
- Adhere to departmental dress code and orientation procedures to uphold hospital standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.
Qualifications:
- Certified in BLS, ARDMS, and PE with a valid credential.
- Demonstrate experience in performing pediatric echocardiograms and ultrasound scans.
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintain an address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
- Exhibit a clean professional history with strong references and clinical competence.
- Ability to work a day shift typically from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Willingness to participate in a department-specific orientation and follow all hospital policies.
