Job Summary:

The Pediatric Cath Lab Rad Tech is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a Level I Trauma Center specializing in pediatric and adult patient care. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiologic procedures in pediatric and adult cath lab settings, including transplant biopsies, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and valve procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment effectively while maintaining radiation safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to prepare patients and ensure procedures are completed accurately.
• Document procedures and patient data using EPIC or preferred charting systems.
• Adhere to infection control and safety procedures, including radiation badge regulations.
• Participate in on-call shifts and emergency response teams as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina RN license or relevant credential with at least one year of cath lab experience.
• Possess current certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS (AHA approved), and radiation badge.
• Demonstrate experience in pediatric and adult interventional procedures, including transplants, balloon procedures, and IR practices.
• Have prior experience working in a Level I Trauma, teaching, or magnet hospital environment preferred.
• Be willing to work flexible shifts, including on-call duties, with weekend coverage.
• Maintain compliance with travel, RTO, and licensure regulations.
