Job Summary:
The CVICU RN is responsible for providing specialized critical care nursing to cardiac and neuro patients in a high-acuity environment. This role involves direct patient care, monitoring, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer cardiac and neuro-focused care to critically ill patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor patient status continuously, utilizing advanced hemodynamic and neuro assessment tools.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care, clinical findings, and interventions accurately in Epic electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to emergent situations, including code blue or rapid response calls.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including HIPAA, safety protocols, and shift procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina or Compact nursing license prior to start.
• Possess 1-2 years of recent ICU experience, with cardiac and neuro expertise preferred.
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting and electronic medical records.
• Ability to float within scope to similar units or sister facilities as needed.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
