Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring, ensuring safety and effective treatment. Deliver comprehensive assessments and interventions aligned with medical directives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed head-to-toe assessments on telemetry patients.
• Administer IV medications, including Lasix, heparin, and insulin, following protocol.
• Manage wound care, drains, and vacuum systems.
• Monitor and document patient status using Altera/Allscripts Sunrise system.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team during daily multidisciplinary rounds.
• Float to similar units (e.g., Med/Surg, Orthopedics) as needed to maintain staffing.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent Telemetry and Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV medication administration and central line care.
• Have ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Exhibit strong assessment and patient management skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to floating requirements.
