Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced, high-volume ER setting. Deliver compassionate, efficient, and safety-focused services to diverse patient populations with varying acuity levels.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions promptly upon arrival to determine severity and prioritize care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs, using GE monitors and other cardiac monitoring equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families using the AIDET communication framework while maintaining respectful interactions.
• Document patient information accurately in the Cerner system and update boards with current data.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent ER nursing experience in high-volume or emergency settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency with advanced procedures, certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC within 90 days), and emergency protocols.
• Exhibit strong teamwork, adaptability, and leadership skills to coach peers and provide real-time feedback.
• Be flexible to work every other weekend with open availability for floating within ED sections.
