Job Description
Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing routine and complex magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis. They ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Responsibilities:
- Perform standard MRI scans and assist with more complex procedures under supervision.
- Prepare patients for imaging by explaining procedures and ensuring proper positioning.
- Operate MRI equipment safely in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and ensure image quality meets diagnostic requirements.
- Assist with related duties in the office area, supporting overall departmental operations.
- Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including maintaining patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Hold current ARRT (MR) certification or be ARMRIT certified, with eligibility to take and pass within 6 months.
- Possess a valid Washington State Radiologic Technologist license.
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Have completed coursework in cross-sectional anatomy.
- Demonstrate physical ability to lift and move equipment and patients as required.
- Show good manual dexterity, stamina, and decision-making skills aligned with radiology practices.
