Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced PET Technologist to perform nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT scans, in a dynamic hospital setting. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate imaging and patient safety while adhering to industry standards and protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct PET/CT imaging procedures using Siemens scanners with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety protocols by wearing and managing radiation badges.
- Prepare patients for imaging exams, ensuring proper positioning and communication of procedures.
- Perform equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshoot imaging systems as needed.
- Document procedures accurately in the hospital’s electronic health record system.
- Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and infection control standards throughout imaging processes.
Qualifications:
- Possess at least 1 year of nuclear medicine or PET/CT imaging experience.
- Hold a current SC State License in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography.
- Certified with NMTCB(N), ARRT(N) or ARRT(CT), or SCRQSA credentials.
- Be BLS certified and demonstrate proficiency with Siemens PET/CT scanners.
- Provide a radiation badge supplied by the staffing agency.
- Exhibit strong patient care, communication, and technical skills.
