Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled RN for CVOR to provide specialized cardiovascular surgical care. The role involves supporting cardiac and thoracic procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Scrub and assist during cardiac surgeries requiring bypass, mediastinal, and thoracic procedures, including da Vinci-assisted surgeries.
• Monitor and support patients undergoing procedures such as ECMO initiation, thoracotomies, VATS, and pericardial window creation.
• Maintain sterile technique and support surgeons throughout complex cardiovascular procedures.
• Complete accurate documentation of procedures, patient status, and operative details using hospital systems.
• Assist with call responsibilities and weekend coverage when scheduled.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of cardiovascular surgery experience.
• Proficient in cardiac operative scrubbing, including bypass and related procedures.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications in ACLS preferred.
• Ability to take call and work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Knowledge of ECMO, thoracic surgeries, and advanced cardiac procedures.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient care skills.
