Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced trauma and stroke center. Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity levels.
• Administer interventions including medications, IVs, and procedures per protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately in the Cerner system.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and care procedures.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and maintain emergency equipment readiness.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in North Carolina or eligible for licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Level 2 trauma or comprehensive stroke center.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications prior to start date.
• Proven ability to work in high-volume emergency departments with diverse teams.
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach.
• Flexibility to float within all sections of the ED.
