Job Summary:
Provides urgent and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, ensuring timely and effective treatment. Collaborates with medical staff and supports patients and their families through high-pressure situations to promote optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly upon arrival and continuously monitor changes.
• Communicate patient status updates and diagnostic results effectively with ED physicians.
• Administer pre-approved medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or responses to therapy.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly and accurately.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a sterile environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency setting.
• Possess strong critical thinking and quick decision-making skills.
• Prior experience in emergency or acute care nursing preferred.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
