Job Summary:
The Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care in an outpatient infusion setting for cancer patients. This role involves administering chemotherapy, managing patient symptoms, and ensuring safe, compassionate care in accordance with established policies and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments following safety protocols.
• Assess patients’ health histories, monitor physical and emotional well-being, and document findings accurately.
• Educate patients and families on treatment processes, side effects, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to update patient care plans.
• Perform in-office procedures and address urgent patient care needs promptly.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license with at least 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system.
• Possess ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration Certification.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary cancer care team.
• Maintain current knowledge of oncology nursing best practices and safety standards.
