Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a Cardiac Stepdown unit. The nurse will deliver direct patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring optimal recovery and stability for cardiac patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' cardiac status through telemetry and clinical observation.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and safety protocols.
• Conduct telemetry strip readings and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately.
• Document patient care and procedures using Meditech electronic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to formulate and revise care plans.
• Float to other acute units as needed, including Medical, Surgical, Peds, ICU, and ER departments.

Qualifications:

• Active Hawaii RN license required upon acceptance and must be maintained throughout assignment.
• Minimum of 1 year hospital acute care experience within the last year.
• Progressive Care Unit and telemetry experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification and ACLS certification preferred; PALS and NIHSS preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to perform primary nursing duties, including telemetry monitoring and fingerstick blood sugar checks.
