Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN to provide specialized maternal care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of obstetric patients upon admission and throughout labor.
• Administer medications and interventions in accordance with medical plans and protocols.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, adjusting care as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Provide patient education and emotional support to mothers and families.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, policies, and compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee state license or multi-state compact license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Hold current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI (or MAB), NIH, AWHONN, NRP, STABLE.
• Demonstrate proficiency in obstetric procedures, fetal monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation.
• Able to perform well in a high-pressure environment with flexibility for float duties.
• Comfortable working with the prison population.
