Job Summary:
Provides advanced imaging services through Computed Tomography (CT) scans to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Ensures patient safety, image quality, and adherence to departmental protocols within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT imaging equipment accurately, adjusting technical settings and physical parameters for each exam.
• Position patients appropriately, following radiologist protocols, and employ immobilization techniques for optimal imaging results.
• Administer contrast media and perform power contrast injections when necessary, ensuring patient safety.
• Handle and archive images correctly within PACS, maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation in HIS/RIS systems.
• Assist and mentor radiology students, staying current with industry trends through ongoing professional development.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent injuries and ensure a secure environment for staff and patients.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification and ARRT (RT[R]) (CT) registration.
• Possess a minimum of two (2) years hospital-based CT experience preferred.
• Be a Healthcare Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) level provider, completed within three months of hire.
• Demonstrate proficiency in equipment operation, patient management, and sterile techniques.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking and independent problem-solving skills with sound decision-making ability.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
