Job Summary:

Provide skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in a medical-surgical setting, ensuring their safety and well-being. Flexibly float between units and handle overflow cases in ICU and ED as needed, following all safety and clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess clinical status regularly.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and update care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately in EPIC electronic medical records.
• Float between medical-surgical, ICU, and ED units as necessary to support staffing needs.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards during all patient interactions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Demonstrated EPIC system proficiency.
• Ability to work night shifts, including 72 hours every two weeks schedule.
• Strong critical care skills, particularly in ICU and ED overflow situations.
• Flexibility to float between multiple units as needed.
