The Billing Follow Up Associate is responsible for managing and resolving outstanding medical billing collections to ensure timely reimbursement. This role involves communicating with insurance companies and patients to follow up on unpaid accounts, supporting revenue cycle processes.

Responsibilities:

• Review and monitor unpaid or delayed claims within the billing system.
• Contact insurance companies and patients to follow up on outstanding payments.
• Document collection efforts accurately and update account information promptly.
• Collaborate with billing and coding teams to address billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
• Support the resolution of billing discrepancies to expedite payments.

Qualifications:

• Possess a high school diploma or GED; associate or technical degree preferred.
• Have prior experience in medical billing and collections.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and follow-up skills.
• Show proficiency with billing software and healthcare systems.
• Be detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
