Job Summary:
The Recovery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive post-procedure care to patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role involves monitoring, assessing, and managing patient recovery to ensure safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-procedure to detect any complications.
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform nursing procedures in accordance with physician orders and standing protocols.
• Respond promptly and effectively to medical or environmental emergencies to stabilize patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and healthcare team members to develop and update individualized patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Educate patients and their families on recovery processes, discharge instructions, and post-care guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license and current Nursys verification.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU or acute care nursing experience.
• Be ACLS, BLS, and PALS certified, with certifications valid and uploaded as required.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and quick decision-making skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in variable shift times and manage multiple patient care activities simultaneously.
