Job Summary:

BACKFILL - TRAVEL - RN - CCU - COST CENTER (653) - 7:00PM - 7:00AM is a Registered Nurse role providing critical care support within an ICU/CCU setting. The RN will deliver high-acuity patient care, manage complex monitoring, and assist with advanced procedures under established clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct bedside critical care for ICU/CCU patients using evidence-based nursing practices
• Manage hemodynamic and advanced monitoring systems, including use of specialized cardiac support devices
• Perform and support vascular access procedures, including central line and dialysis catheter insertions
• Assess, triage, and escalate patient changes using strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech and ensure compliance with unit workflows
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes and continuity of care

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license (state-specific)
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Complete NIH certification requirements
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and independent, self-motivated clinical performance
• Possess at least 2 years of ICU experience providing complex bedside care
• Apply safe technique and protocol adherence for central line and dialysis catheter insertion support
