Job Summary:

Travel- Nuclear Med Tech (763) is responsible for performing and assisting with nuclear medicine procedures using established protocols and radiation safety standards. The role supports high-acuity patient care by preparing imaging equipment, preparing patients, and ensuring accurate study delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including PET scans, HIDA, GI bleed imaging, and stress testing.
• Prepare and operate Phillips and GE nuclear medicine equipment to support reliable diagnostic results.
• Ensure radiation safety practices are followed for patients, staff, and the work environment.
• Prepare patients for imaging, including screening, positioning, and providing instructions before studies.
• Document exams and related information accurately using Meditech EMR workflows.
• Maintain imaging readiness by performing routine equipment checks and reporting issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NMLicense to practice as a Nuclear Med Tech.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine imaging workflows.
• Apply competency in PET Scan and nuclear medicine services to support study accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with patients who may present with high acuity needs.
• Operate within radiation safety and sterile/procedural standards required for imaging.
• Ability to work effectively in a float/cross-functional nuclear medicine environment.
