Job Summary:

The X-ray/Rad Tech provides safe, high-quality radiographic imaging for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. This role operates X-ray systems and portable units while following imaging protocols, radiation safety standards, and patient care best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform ordered radiographic studies for inpatient and outpatient populations using designated rooms and portable equipment.
• Position patients accurately and optimize image quality while minimizing repeat exposures.
• Adhere to radiation safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Prepare and manage imaging workflows in coordination with radiology staff and on-site providers.
• Monitor patient condition during imaging and respond to routine clinical needs.
• Complete documentation and study processing in the EMR/PACS environment.

Qualifications:

• Hold current ARRT certification (as applicable to assigned imaging areas).
• Maintain active BLS certification for all technologists.
• Hold RNS requirements including BLS and ACLS (as required by the role).
• Demonstrate proficiency with radiology workflows, patient positioning, and radiation protection.
• Experience completing a high volume of imaging studies across all patient ages.
• Ability to support rotational shifts, including weekends.
