Job Summary:

Registered Nurse providing clinical coverage for STEMI and Stroke response, including NIHSS assessment. This role supports two daily shift options and includes on-call responsibilities for time-sensitive interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform NIHSS assessments and document findings accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate STEMI/Stroke care by escalating critical changes to the appropriate clinical team.
• Administer medications and monitor patients according to established protocols and standing orders.
• Prepare and support patients for cardiac cath lab and related EP workflow activities as needed.
• Maintain patient safety through continuous vital sign monitoring and reassessment.
• Document care, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record with clinical precision.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Demonstrate proficiency with NIHSS and complete NIHSS requirements as specified.
• Possess strong critical thinking skills for rapid deterioration response.
• Provide evidence of experience in acute care settings, including cardiovascular or stroke-focused workflows.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS preferred for advanced cardiac emergencies.
