Job Description
Job Summary:
Sr. Special Procedures Technologist for Cath Lab/EP will perform advanced imaging and special procedures support in a fast-paced cardiovascular environment. The role partners with radiology and clinical teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare special procedure and fluoroscopy equipment, supplies, and sterile fields to support Cath Lab/EP cases.
- Assist during procedures by maintaining proper instrumentation, sterile technique, and imaging workflow.
- Support patient positioning, monitoring coordination, and procedure readiness in the cath lab and CV holding as needed.
- Perform pre-op and post-op technical tasks in coordination with the care team when nurses float to CV holding.
- Maintain radiation safety practices, including appropriate fluoroscopy-related workflow and documentation.
- Follow safety and emergency readiness procedures, including fire and life safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Hold ARRT certification (Preferred).
- Maintain a Radiologic Tech (RT) license in the state of practice (Required).
- Possess AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
- Complete Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) training (Required).
- Demonstrate fluoroscopy (FLUORO) competency (Required).
- Hold PVMB, TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI certification (Required).
