Job Summary:

Registered Nurse Medsurg provides direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting, coordinating treatment plans and supporting safe, timely interventions. The role emphasizes clinical assessment, medication management, and collaboration with the interprofessional care team to promote positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and monitor vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
• Administer prescribed medications and therapies according to clinical protocols.
• Coordinate care by communicating patient status, changes, and needs with providers and team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Promote patient safety through adherence to infection prevention and evidence-based practices.
• Support discharge planning needs by educating patients and families on care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse licensure with verification completed as required.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Maintain current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable.
• Demonstrate competence in medical-surgical nursing assessment and direct patient care.
• Provide proof of MMR and varicella vaccination or approved declination.
• Complete background screening and drug screen requirements in accordance with agency and onboarding timelines.
