Job Description
Job Summary:
Nucmed tech provides support in nuclear medicine procedures by preparing patients, assisting with imaging, and ensuring accurate, safe operation of radiology-related workflows. This role requires strong credential compliance and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical environments.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures, including education and screening.
- Assist with imaging workflow by supporting tracer handling per protocol and established safety procedures.
- Maintain radiation safety practices, including proper PPE use and contamination control.
- Support equipment readiness by verifying functionality and documenting relevant procedure details.
- Perform basic quality and patient-care tasks to ensure accurate imaging and timely throughput.
- Maintain required documentation for credentials, vaccinations, and screening verification as required.
Qualifications:
- Hold active BLS certification.
- Hold active ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (or other as applicable).
- Demonstrate proof of MMR and varicella vaccination or approved declination.
- Complete/maintain required credentialing verification for employment eligibility.
- Obtain EDAP I and II and/or ENPC within the allowed credentialing window (where applicable).
- Pass background screening and drug screening processes as permitted for onboarding.
