Job Summary:

The TRAVEL - MRI - TECH position provides advanced MRI technologist support to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. The role operates MRI equipment, ensures patient comfort and safety, and maintains accurate imaging and documentation within PACS workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Operate GE 450W 1.5T MRI equipment to produce diagnostic-quality brain, spine, ortho, body, abd, and cardiac images.
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining steps and addressing safety and comfort needs.
• Verify imaging protocols, parameters, and patient positioning to meet clinical requirements.
• Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot imaging artifacts to optimize scan results.
• Ensure compliance with MR safety screening and sterilization/turnover processes.
• Transfer images and complete documentation in PACS and EMR systems (Meditech/Centricity).

Qualifications:

• Hold a current MR Registered credential.
• Maintain an active BLS certification.
• Possess a valid VA license in hand at submission.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of MRI technologist experience.
• Have experience operating GE MRI equipment.
• Prioritize candidates with cardiac scanning experience.
