Job Summary:

The CVOR Tech supports surgical teams by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring readiness of cardiovascular instrumentation and supplies. This role assists during procedures and helps maintain efficient workflow in the Main OR environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up sterile fields, cardiovascular instruments, and equipment prior to scheduled cases.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist in maintaining aseptic conditions throughout procedures.
• Support surgeons and circulating staff by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Monitor instrument and supply usage to ensure accurate availability and documentation.
• Perform turnover activities, including equipment checklists, cleaning, and restocking between cases.
• Assist with patient-related procedural coordination within scope of practice and established protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current credential as a CVOR Tech/OR Tech with relevant cardiovascular operating room experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of operating room experience with prior CVOR exposure preferred.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of sterile processing principles and surgical instrumentation.
• Maintain active RN/tech-level licensure or clearance as required by applicable compliance standards (GA/Compact licensing requirements when applicable).
• Complete onboarding requirements promptly, including core items/labs within required timeframes.
• Successfully pass clinical review and meet facility compliance guidelines for assignment readiness.
