Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical/Tele) Float Pool RN provides safe, patient-centered care while supporting multiple med-surg and telemetry units. This role requires the ability to assess patients, manage basic telemetry patients, and interpret rhythm strips within scope of practice.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and monitor vital signs to detect changes in condition
• Administer medications and coordinate care to support evidence-based treatment plans
• Read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and report findings to the care team
• Provide ongoing patient education and support to patients and families
• Collaborate with charge nurse and unit staff to prioritize assignments and workflow
• Deliver respiratory support within approved scope, including CPAP and BiPAP management

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and maintain unexpired driver’s license
• Possess current BLS certification
• Possess current ACLS certification
• Pass a cardiac rhythm exam prior to assignment
• Demonstrate competency in managing basic telemetry patients and interpreting strips
• Experience with med-surg populations such as CHF, cardiac-related conditions, CP, pneumonia, COPD, chronic renal disease, orthopedic, and oncology patients preferred
