Job Summary:


TRAVEL - RN - PICC (719) - Wesley Medical Center - 7P - 7A is a Registered Nurse role focused on PICC insertion, care, and vascular access support within a Cardiac Care setting. The RN provides high-acuity patient care with an emphasis on safe procedures, ultrasound-assisted practice, and adherence to critical care protocols.



Responsibilities:

• Perform PICC insertion procedures, including Powerglide, middle line, and vein access placement.
  
• Provide ongoing PICC line care, maintenance, and patient education to support safe therapy delivery.
  
• Conduct ultrasound-assisted vascular assessments as needed to support accurate line placement.
  
• Monitor patients closely and respond promptly to changes in condition in a 1:1 setting.
  
• Apply BLS/ACLS/PALS-informed clinical judgment to deliver evidence-based critical care support.
  
• Document vascular access procedures and patient status in Bard 3CG EMR / Meditech / CPN systems.
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold an active RN license and have at least 1 year of current acute care PICC RN experience.
  
• Maintain current BLS certification and be able to work within ACLS and PALS expectations.
  
• Complete and possess PICC line certification.
  
• Demonstrate strong familiarity with PICC procedures, care workflows, and line safety practices.
  
• Prefer prior Meditech experience and experience related to pediatric patients.
