Job Summary:

The TRAVEL - RN - OR position supports surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, assisting with procedures, and ensuring safe patient care from pre-op through post-op recovery. This role emphasizes strong perioperative skills, sterile technique, and reliable teamwork in a high-acuity environment with a high standard of documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment to support assigned surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile fields and follow aseptic technique before, during, and after interventions.
• Assist surgeons and circulating staff by anticipating needs and managing procedure flow.
• Document patient assessments, intraoperative care, and required data using the designated system.
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition during the surgical experience.
• Coordinate and support perioperative safety processes, including time-outs and protocol adherence.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and maintain compliance with all state requirements.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of operating room or perioperative surgical experience.
• Apply advanced surgical/procedural nursing knowledge across multiple service lines.
• Perform proficient sterile processing practices, including maintaining competency with field setup and care.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and support a patient-first culture.
