Job Summary:

TRAVEL - RN - OR (701) is responsible for providing professional nursing care in the Operating Room, supporting surgical teams before, during, and after procedures. This role emphasizes patient safety, effective communication, and skilled perioperative nursing to facilitate smooth, high-quality surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain, and sterilize perioperative equipment and supplies according to protocol.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia teams by anticipating needs and coordinating time-critical tasks.
• Manage patient positioning, skin integrity, and intraoperative documentation standards.
• Support sterile field maintenance and follow aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Perform perioperative nursing assessments and communicate findings to the surgical team.
• Document care, responses to interventions, and procedure-related information accurately in the EMR.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and be eligible to work in a clinical setting.
• Possess at least 1 year of current acute care OR nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification; hold or be able to obtain ACLS (preferred).
• Demonstrate experience with intraoperative workflow and perioperative documentation.
• Have experience in a fast-paced OR environment, preferably including DaVinci Robotics (preferred).
• Prefer familiarity with Meditech and/or CPN EMR systems; Meditech experience is preferred.
