Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (Cath Lab/EP) provides direct patient care and supports interventional and diagnostic procedures in a high-acuity setting. The RN assists with cardiac catheterization and specialized procedures, ensuring safe workflow, accurate monitoring, and adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with interventional cardiac cath lab and special procedures from setup through completion.
• Monitor hemodynamics and patient status during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including sedation administration/monitoring.
• Perform and support vascular access and catheter-based interventions, including PCI and angioplasty.
• Manage post-procedure care, including dysrhythmia interpretation and implementation of appropriate interventions.
• Support device and support therapy needs, including IABP placement/removal and Impella insertion.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and follow isolation precautions as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold current Registered Nurse licensure with NY license required in hand to submit.
• Possess ACLS and BLS certification.
• Demonstrate demonstrated experience in both cath lab and IR lab workflows; IR-only experience is not acceptable.
• Perform procedural sedation administration/monitoring and maintain required monitoring competency.
• Demonstrate competency with phlebotomy and IV placement (including starting IVs) as required clinical skills.
• Have Epic charting experience as a hard requirement.
