Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Endoscopy/GI unit, assisting with high-acuity procedures and ensuring patient safety during intraoperative and pre/postoperative phases. This travel position offers the opportunity to work with advanced endoscopic equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic and GI procedures.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and EBUS.
• Ensure proper reprocessing and high-level disinfection of Olympus endoscopes.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs efficiently.
• Follow infection control standards and adhere to unit policies.
• Document patient care and procedural details accurately in EMR systems.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
• At least 1 year of recent Endoscopy RN experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Proficiency with Olympus endoscopes and reprocessing procedures.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure setting.
• Excellent communication and manual skills with a focus on patient safety.
