Job Summary:
Assist physical therapists in delivering patient care by supporting treatment plans and ensuring safe, effective therapy sessions for individuals of all ages. Collaborate closely with the physical therapy team to optimize patient outcomes and promote recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Support physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
• Assist patients with stretching, exercises, and balance training to improve strength and mobility.
• Communicate with patients’ families to provide at-home care techniques and education.
• Prepare therapy areas by moving patients from wheelchairs or walkers and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Conduct administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient documentation.
• Read and interpret therapist instructions to ensure accurate and consistent patient treatment.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active PTA license.
• Possess at least 1 year of experience in PT, LTC, or rehab environments.
• Demonstrate proficiency in assisting with patient exercises and therapy techniques.
• Be capable of working directly with patients and collaborating with physical therapists.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Possess a valid Missouri state license.
