Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit specializing in infectious diseases. The role involves providing compassionate patient care in a private-room environment, adhering to strict isolation and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with infectious diseases, including COVID, MRSA, and C-Diff.
• Monitor and manage patients' vital signs, IV medications, and titratable drips like Heparin.
• Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions throughout patient interactions.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, CNA staff, and RTs to coordinate patient needs and safety.
• Complete accurate documentation in electronic health records, including EPIC system.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, including during emergencies and while managing remote telemonitoring.

Qualifications:

• Possess an unexpired, valid driver’s license for submittal.
• Hold current BLS certification; additional certifications are preferred.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of MedSurg, infectious disease protocols, and isolation precautions.
• Experience working with IV medications, including antibiotics and titratable drips.
• Ability to float between MedSurg and Tele units if needed.
• Capable of working 12-hour shifts with mandatory weekend rotations and holiday coverage.
